Going From IMPLAN Data to Fixed Price or Flexible Price Regional Models

 

The following is an abreviated discussion procedure for creating Regional economic models from IMPLAN text (CGE) files. Copies of the complete document, as well as all of the files noted, may be obtained through the Login below.

  1. Create CGE files using IMPLAN.
  2. Create a directory for GAMS to create the regional models.
  3. Modify GAMS file.
  4. Run GAMS file.
  5. Create the regional SAM in spreadsheet form from GAMS file.
  6. Parameterize the CGE model and conduct policy analysis.
